Jonathian “John” Myers, 40, East Pennsboro Ambulance Service, Inc., died in the line of duty of COVID-19. As a life member of Enola Fire Company No.3 - Midway Fire Company, John’s devoted service began at age 14 responding to fire department calls. A trusted, valued, dedicated team member and leader, he “always stood ready to help others.” Responsible for training oversight, he helped mold numerous EMTs and paramedics. Remembered for his calming, soothing, and compassionate nature, John knew just how to comfort people in their time of need and demonstrated consistent love and respect for his EMS family. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his service from East Pennsboro EMS. An avid sportsman who loved guns, he enjoyed shooting and teaching gun safety. Known for his great sense of humor and infectious laugh, he wanted to bring joy and happiness to his friends and family. John loved his family, including his parents, Dorothy and Robert, his brother Jimmy, and his beloved fiancé, Holly.
