Gloria “Gigi” Gordon, 58, FDNY EMS, died in the line-of-duty of World Trade Center Illness. GiGi’s 19-year EMS career began as part of the Health and Hospital Corporation and continued with FDNY, where she became a paramedic and ultimately rose to the rank of Lieutenant. On September 11,2001, she responded to Manhattan Box 5-5-8087 World Trade Center spending many subsequent months in the rescue and recovery effort at ground zero. Described as someone who put others before herself, Gloria’s memory will live through her wife, Sharon, and many family members.
