James Edward Evans, 57, Applying Healthcare EMS, died in the line-of-duty of a medical event. James’ life of service in EMS included 20 years as a paramedic with Applying Healthcare, and 10 years as a flight paramedic with Air Evac Lifeteam. Revered by his peers, and known to put a smile on anyone’s face, he was “a hoot and loved to endearingly pick on colleagues but had a huge heart for helping others in any way he could.” Described as “one of a kind,” James was known for his big heart and big hugs. James adored, and was always thinking of, his wife Rena. He deeply loved his children, Brandi, Kyle, and Kevin, ten grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, and his special fur baby, Lulu.
