Michael Earley 55, FDNY EMS, died in the line of duty of World Trade Center Illness. Mike bravely served in the rescue and recovery at Manhattan Box 5-5-8087 World Trade Center. His 20-year career included service at FDNY EMS Division 4 (EMD and Station 11). Affectionately known as “Shrek,” Mike is remembered as a strong and generous guy, with a larger-than-life personality to match. His years of friendship and love created wonderful memories for those fortunate enough to know him. Mike was a Little League softball coach and board member, active in the Knights of Columbus and loved the Mets, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers with a true passion. Most of all, Mike adored his wife Cindy, and his daughters Kaitlyn and Meagan.
