Andrew Logan Beck, 23, Kecksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, died in the line-of-duty of COVID-19. Andy lived his lifelong dream and passion for serving others throughout his seven years as an EMT and volunteer firefighter. Dedicated to welcoming and teaching kids and future public safety volunteers, he had a big vision for the future of the fire service and EMS. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, one of the biggest influences in his life, Andy gave his all to volunteering for the good and safety of his community. A genuine and wonderful young man who brightened a room, he is remembered for his heart of gold and as a giver of life by his friends, coworkers, family, and community. Andy’s love for his community and legacy of service will live through a scholarship established in his honor. His community, family, and fur babies - Copper, Fur, and Trauma, will forever miss his big smile and cheery greeting.
