Willie Bunch, Sr., 58, Oak City Fire Department, died in the line of duty of COVID-19. Throughout Willie’s 24 years of committed service with the Oak City Fire Department, he was known as “the gentle giant of Oak City Fire-EMS” who loved serving his community, helping save lives, and helping those less fortunate and ignored by society. He found joy in working on the farm and in music, especially while spinning turntables. A man of faith, Willie served Christ and shared his love of music through church while working in the sound room. Willie cherished the love of his life, Sharon, his son Willie Bunch Jr., and his family and friends.
