Mark A. Miller, 58, Wayne Township Fire and Rescue, died in the line of duty of a medical event. His life of service began in the United States Navy where he proudly served as a Radioman aboard the USS America (CV-66), and as an EMT. Following his honorable discharge, Mark pursued certification as a paramedic and continued to serve numerous communities through various agencies and roles, including as a paramedic instructor and EMS Chief. Described as kind, gracious in nature, and selfless, he was an awesome partner and outstanding person, always serving others, and the “epitome of what EMS was about.” Mark enjoyed traveling, was active in the local racing community, serving as Track Paramedic and Gridman for area racetracks, and was a member of VFW Post 1275. A man of faith, he treasured and loved his family. Mike was a husband to Julie, father to Kayla, Karstin, Ethan, and Evan, Fiancé to Autumn, future stepfather to Isiah and Guage, a grandfather, and a brother.
