Melanie Robinson Massagee, 57, Gaston County EMS, died in the line-of-duty of COVID-19. A veteran paramedic dedicating 41 years of selfless service to others, Melanie undoubtedly left an enduring impression on the hearts of others. A leader, outstanding paramedic, and gracious mentor, she is remembered for her bubbly personality, warm smile, patience, and kindness. A devout follower of God with unwavering faith, described as a strong woman and beautiful person, she impacted countless lives both personally and professionally. She loved spending time with her family and especially cherished time fishing with her father. Melanie was a loving, caring, and compassionate wife of 37-years to Buzzy Wayne, mother to Ericka and Tonya, a grandmother, daughter, and sister.
